A Place for Trees & Foliage
In 2017, our family set out on a journey to find a forever home—one with land and space to grow our own food, where the kids could run and play among the trees, and our six dogs could explore freely.
After months of searching, we found two acres of natural beauty in Jupiter Farms. Though the house needed a lot of work, we knew the moment we arrived it was perfect. We were ready for the challenge.
The Story of Walter
It began with Walter, a one-year-old pig found wandering the streets of Miami. Acting on a whim, we adopted him in August 2018.
Walter quickly stole our hearts with his gentle, curious nature and vibrant personality. He was the first official farm animal at The Dunn Farm and set the tone for the sanctuary we would become.
Love, Patience, & Play
Not long after Walter, we welcomed a pair of goats whose owner could no longer care for them due to health challenges. Despite our lack of experience, we committed to providing them with love and safety.
Their playful energy added a new layer of joy to our small farm and reinforced our commitment to animals in need of specialized care.
Seamus & The Spirit of Love
Seamus arrived as a tiny five-pound piglet after his blind mother was abandoned in a wildlife area. Walter instantly adopted him as a little brother.
Their undeniable bond exemplifies the spirit of our farm—a place where every animal is accepted and given the freedom to be exactly who they are.
Where Compassion Meets Community
At The Sanctuary at Dunn Farms, our mission is simple: to create a safe, loving environment for animals in need while fostering education and inclusivity. Today, our residents roam freely, forming unique friendships in our little slice of heaven.
